===========================================================
Ths scope has popped up on my radar as a candidate for a spring project. The only other option is Mueller 4 - 16 x 50 mm AO Tactical Scope.
The 2 things I like about the leapers are 30mm tube and side focus. Anybody got this leapers Can you give a review?

I used to sell Leapers when I ran a web based store.
on the very positive side, Leapers really stands behind their product, if there's ever a problem, you send them the bad scope, and they will send you a brand new one.

a lot of their scopes have a red / green reticle illumination, the green is somewhat useless to me, but the red illumination does help to highlight the target during dawn/dusk low light shooting.

on the Neutral side, their core business is for the high power airgun, and airgun field target crowd. They are built to withstand the unique back and forth motion found when firing a 9mm - 50 cal hunting airgun, or high power .177 cal FT guns.

the FT people are the reason for the side focus, and the oversize focus ring you can buy for them, so you can focus the AO without taking your eyes off the target.

the only neg. side I've found with them is their somewhat limited eye relief, I's something like 2.5 inches, and (to me) you really have to be right up against the scope to see good.

You say this scope is primarily for high power Airguns it must be tough and hold zero pretty good I'd think.
How is the glass in this scope,is it good as Mueller ?

Anyone else use this scope?

I have never seen/used one nor know of anyone who has in my circles. That is good enough for me.

I bet this Millett is a better scope?

I'm looking for a scope for a long range barrel like 243wssm the reticle light isn't really important. With low end glass the reticle light should be useless anyway. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

If you want to shoot long range, why are you looking at low end scopes? Save your money a little longer and buy a quality optic. If money is your issue, for a little bit more than that Millet you could probably get a good Burris scope or a higher end Bushnell.
