I am looking for a 22-250 in left hand and I was woundering what others shoot and how they like the guns. I have a browning a-bolt in 7mm remington that I hunt with. I have a remington 788 in 22-250 right hand that I am going to sell to finance the new gun. Whats your input, What have got or seen and any input good or bad.

Thanks

Iam a "Lefty" and shoot mostly single shots (T/C & #1's) but my bolt guns are Savage. We lefty's have very few options and Savage gives me the most.

I'm a 100% Lefty, but have never shot a left handed gun. I grew up shooting right hand bolts, and have always bought them right handed.

I used to shoot right handed guns them I bought the browning in left and it is my main gun and now trying to shoot a right handed gun doesnt work as well. Also with more gun makers making less options for left I decided to spoil my self with a new rifle. I have thought about single shots and like the way the h&r guns feel. They feel short and quick. I have also been thinking about the lever guns, Like the one fron browning in 22-250, It looks nice and quick also. I can also shoot the bushmaster varminter I have but I am looking to rreplace thwe 788 if I sell it. I am leaning to the tikka in 22-250 left hand.

DPMS and Stag make left-handed AR uppers. You can use them on any lower.

I love my LH A-Bolt Stainless Stalker. Light and accurate.

I have a 'few' LH Savages. Great shooters and easy to change calibers.

There's a Rem 700 BDL 22-250 listed for sale at the range that I frequent. That's just one of those calibers that I have never felt the need to purchase. Nothing wrong with it, just doesn't fill any gaps in my 'arsenal'.

I'm pretty sure that Ruger also has lefties.

The single shots have never appealed to me either. They are however one of your options.

Shotguns, I shoot a LH Benelli SBE 1, Browning BPS, O/Us, and SxS.

I wish there were enough of a market for manufacturers to boost the number of LH offerings.

I'm a Lefty and the only rifles I have shot have been right handed , I have felt some left handed guns but they just didn't feel comfortable to me so I just stay with right handed guns but ,I think that most of the major gun brands are availble in a left handed version so just get the gun you like the best.

I just got a Tikka Lite stainless 22-250 LH a couple weeks ago. I like it. It wasn't my first pick, though. I wanted a "Hunter series" Tikka. I downloaded the Tikka catalog and saw it was available, but couldn't find one. Then, after calling Beretta, I learned that I had to look in the 'Beretta version' of the Tikka catalog to see what is imported into the US (not all of Tikka's rifles are imported). So, my second option was the Lite stainless.

I'll second Kelbro. I wish the lefties could have a better selection.

I also agree on Savage. I own Savages. Great rifles. They have more options than the other manufacturers I checked out. More than Tikka, that's for sure.

My son shoots a Ruger Stainless laminated 300 win mag, all left handers, A new tikka T3 lite stainless, 22-250, and a REmington 700 30/06.

Savage all the way. You can't beat the 10/110 or 16/116 series in left hand for the money.

I agree. Looking at a TC Pro Hunter as well. I have a Browning ABolt Stainless Stalker in LH that I love as well. Lookin' at a Tikka Hunter if I can find one. As far as shotguns, I have to get the top tang safeties (Mossberg, Browning or double barrels) although I recently got a LH Benelli.

My advice is this, if you are left eye dominant, use a left handed firearm. Makes things so much easier. JMHO.

I have always purchased right handed rifles. A couple years ago I fell across a lefty Browning A-Bolt micro in 223. I really like it for a calling rifle, but for rifles like a dedicated PD gun, I will continue to buy right handed. Shooting them from a bench is easier as I can see the open chamber, work the loading with my right hand, etc. Plus they are a ton easier to get rid of when you get tired of them.

I have two Remington 700 LH rifles. I shoot a regular 10/22 and an AR15. I also have an 'ambi' Browning BPS shotgun and a Browning A5.

I'm fine shooting a RH rifle as long as it has a straight stock and doesn't have a cheekpiece on the wrong side. Same with shotguns, but they usually have cast-off that makes them difficult to shoot well.

Fur hunter how do you like the micro hunter I saw they offer it, With the 20 inch barrel how does it shoot?

The left handed tikka is in the stainless lite series, I am leaning to the tikka. The browning micro is also a option. I am hoping to hear good thinks from a nother post on here about the BLR 22-250. Alever gun would be cool and quick it also has a 20 inch barrel.

Its a nice little rifle, fast and light. I had the barrel recrowned so it shoots alittle better than it used to. I have gotten it to shoot around an inch. Pinhole tight groups on a calling rifle are nice but not a necessity for me. If you want a short, light, fast rifle, the A-Bolt is a good one. If you want a tack driver I would say go with the Tikka.

I shoot left handed .. never owned or shot a left handed gun, I own about 10 so rifles all right handed. I learned to shoot with them and I am sure a left handed gun for me would take alot of getting used to. Plus they are harder to sell in my opinion and harder to find. If I were you I would just stick to the RH models

My predator guns-

-Robarms XCR-L w/ Elite 3200 10x40

-LH Tikka T3 Lite SS 223 w/ Elite 4200 2.5-10x40

-LH Winchester M70 27" SS 25-06AI w/ Leupold VXIII 4.5-14x40

-LH Winchester M70 22" SS 338-06 w/ Leupold VXIII 2.5-8x36

Not a RH boltgun left in my safe /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Savage mod. 12FLVSS in 22-250 T/C Contender carbine in .223 Rem, and Browning BPS stalker 12 ga. I'm also planning on building a DPMS lefthand AR.

I grew up shooting RH guns, also batting RH, bowling RH, can switch on basketball, but am left eye dominant and shoot Left handed.

If shooting off of a bench or bipod, I prefer RH bolts. It allows me to use my weak hand to work the bolt and if I want to maintain my cheek weld/position.

Walking and shooting I can go either way, I haven't had LH bolts very long.

In the safe is

RH Ruger M77 220 swift

LH Remington 700 22-250

LH Savage 243

Several RH 22's

Several EBR's all RH eject.

A slew of RH milsurp guns.

So, I am pretty confused when it comes to bolt guns, I just shoot whatever I have that day.
