Leica Rangefinder accessories

I saw a picture of a device that holds the Leicas so they can be mounted on a tripod. Can't seem to be able to find that picture any where. Any one know who makes it? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Barry

I saw a Leica rangefinder holder advertised with the Leica rangefinders. Probably manufactured by Leica or outsourced by them. It was priced in the $60 range I think. I looked through several catalogs, but couldn't find it again--sorry.

I've got one, that works great, that was made for me by a fellow board member. I don't know if he wants to make any more, so I'll let him holler if he wants. But essentially, it's a thick piece of plastic or nylon that fits under the LRF1200 just perfectly, and has a bushing/lug in it to fit a standard tripod. The adapter plate is held on by heavy rubber bands. Works like a champ!

Battlescarred,

If your looking for the home built version that DAA is talking about shoot me an e-mail. I am going to knock one out for SilverFox, and it isn't anymore trouble to make a couple of the adapters for the LF1200's.

Sorry I didn't answer this sooner but I've been away from the board for awhile.

I think the most recent Varmint Hunter magazine has an advertisement from SWFA that has the leica tripod adapter. I think it was $58. SWFA has a website so you can probably order it online.
