Les Johnson shoots a?

Hi all,
First I want to say I did a search on this topic and I can't find the answer:)

I have been watching a few shows where Les Johnson is hunting. I am wondering if anyone knows what caliber he is shooting and possibly what bullet?

He occasionally misses but man when he hits them he hammers them and most are DRT!! I know the show is edited and poor shots could be taken out.Les may make a point of not showing big exit holes but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of blood from any coyotes I have seen him shoot.

Inquiring minds want to know:)

I've heard him mention .204 on an episode... I'm sure he has a few calibers but definitely had a Howa Axxiom in .204

just watched best of the quest 3. in that he uses the .204 and a .22-250.both of which are Howa Axxiom rifles.he also uses a Legacy Sports shotgun. no mention on shot size though?

Yeah he shoots a Howa Axxiom. Not sure what caliber it is but I think JDReno is correct.
He also shoots a 12 Gauge.A Benelli I beleive.I've also seen him shoot a yote with a AR-15 a time or two Im pretty sure.

At the hunt a few months ago Les spoke about his like for his simple $300 Legacy Sports shotgun. He said he's shot it in all types of weather and it's never failed him.

I know he also shoots that Howa Axxiom someone above spoke of.

Les is a no BS type of guy. If something gives him problems, even if he represents the product manufacturer, he's a straight talker about it. He's said nothing but praise for both the guns mentioned above.

I know of a few people that went out and purchased the Howa based on his recommendations and are 100% happy.

"Les Johnson shoots a"...whew, channeling another post, I thought you were going to say something like... the rancher's dog! :>) I think he used to shoot a H & K 22-250, not sure what caliber the Howa is.

By the way, who is this 'Les Johnson' everyone speaks of here? :>)

Scott, would it be possible to find out more information on his shotgun selection. I know it is a Legacy firearm. The Gauge, Round, Choke etc. also who makes the fixed bi-pod on the front of the barrel?

Appreciate it!!!

Howa Axiom, Nikko Sterling Nighteater Scope 22-250 cal and 204 cal is all I have witnessed Les shoot. I have never seen him with a AR style rifle. Ifanyone knows of any footage please advise.

Stay Safe Long Live LES!!!!!!!!

I'll get a hold of him and see if he can clarify.

Not to hi-jack this post yet Les is a great ambassador of our sport. I don't know of any other shows that are available via cable through pursuit network that specializes in just predator hunting. With that being said I try to purchase or at the very least consider any products that Les is using or representing. Times are hard and for the rest of us that have the luxury of having the great sport of predator hunting brought into our living room by a straight forward well spoken representative of our sport. We should try and support Les and his advertising when we can. Just my personal opinion. And no I don't have any personal stake in the matter.

Stay Safe!!

I heard him say he was shooting a 22-250 with a 55 grn HP bullet in his video in his tips of the week segment, sounds to me he shoots just about anything.

TC, i will second that! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
