Considering that the elements of Second Degree Murder were pretty well shot to pieces by the Forensic Medical Examiner brought in by the Defense, I'll be really surprised by a Guilty verdict...All the state had was really circumstantial evidence to present, with no real witnesses, and the testimony given on the side of the defense was explained in both technical and layman terms that even the most uneducated could understand...Emotional factors are about all that is left...
Regardless of the verdict, I still feel that we, as a nation, are going to be in for a long hot summer...Not Guilty and the Black radicals will be wanting to riot, Guilty and the Black radicals will be emboldened to initiate similar situations and there will be more 'self defense' shootings with similar publicity...
