Looking for a scope for a 15 inch 6.5x30-30 BB Improved pistol. Which woud you recommend, the Leupold 2.5-8 or Burris 3-12? Shoot rifle scopes on all my other Contender pistols, but believe I am going with pistol scope this time. Will be punching paper for sure but also plan on deer and coyote. What say you my friends. All opinions appreciated. Also wondering what these two are going for used? Already had a heart attack when I saw new price. LOL

Thanks in advance
Doug

Which ever you like the best. I have both brand on contenders and I think that they are very close in quality. The loopy may be a little clearer, but it also cost more. I am not sure that the cost increease is worth it. Both do the job well and I have zero complaints. I would buy whichever one that I liked best. Tough choice with no wrong answer imo.

I'm also into specialty pistols. Don't pass up the 2.5-8X Nikon. Have had a number of each of these scopes and prefer the Nikon. I think it's cheaper than the other 2, well made, and you get a target turret and ballistic reticle with it--something that'd be quite handy and fun with that caliber.

Personally, I really LOVE the idea of the Burris with adjustable objective, however, it has REALLY limited internal adjustment. Something to keep in mind.
