Leupold mark 4 3×9×40 ar scope

This is vx-II glass with some additional extras. I would much rather have a vx-II or vx-III. The BDC sounds tacticool, but who is going to shoot 700+ yards. It would be neat to try and shoot plates at that distance, but I don't know many people who can humanely dispatch a varmint at that range consistently. I'm not sold on it. There seems to be much better choices in a conventional setup.

I needed a scope for a new rifle, so I stopped by Cabela's on my way home from work and picked up a Leupold 3-9x40mm Mark AR w/duplex reticle. I figure VXII glass and internals with an elevation turret already calibrated for 55gr .223 that'll get you to 700 yards (works at 250-300 yards also) can't be too hard to like, especially for $269.99! To add an M1 or CDS turret to an existing scope is $90.00 alone!

Think this'll kill a coyote?...

I have two of the 3-9x42 FFP Super Snipers and one of th 10x HD Super Snipers and one of the 10x Super Snipers with side focus and have had three other models, and I have one of the Leupold Mk4 3.5-10x40 FFP and one of the 8.5-25x50 Leupold Mk4's and have had other models and some other brands of tactical optics. I'd be real interested in seeing you prove that you have had the 3-9x42 FFP Super Sniper since thats what we are talking about ---- because I think you have never even seen the variable, it's only been out a couple of months.

P.S. I've been fairly treated on everyting I ever bought at SWFA.com plus they have a 110% low price guarantee so what is the burr under your saddle from.
Here you go --- here's photos of mine --- so I can prove what I'm saying!:

Try getting them to honor their so-called 110% low price guarantee! So many loopholes in it you could drive a truck through it! They're also famous for hijacking domain names and misdirecting people to their website.

Well, apparently the pics I had are no more.

I traded cameras with my daughter 2 weeks ago when I left for deer camp because her camera fits in my pocket and mine does not. She got the better deal, but I needed a field camera. She erased all the pics I had on it. Believe me or not, I've never been known to be a liar around here. Maybe some other things. Truth of the matter, it wasn't actually mine, but a guy down the street's whom I've hunted with for 14-15 yrs. I have lots of his guns here.

I do still have pics of my other SS. The one with the mediocre optics, and mushy, inaudible dials. It is gone also.

Any pics of the Mark 2, or did you lose yours also?

I have only bought a couple of scopes from SWFA but they have always been a pleasure to deal with. I have called to just ask questions and they seemed nice enough and took time to give me the info I needed.

I didnt say I owned a mark 2 I have owned a Mark 4PR 3-9x40 the more expensive model with the tall style covered knobs but same glass as the Mk2 which is about VXII quality glass certainly not up to speed with my MK 4 LRT scopes and I have photos of all of them do you need me to post them or can you just take my word fot it. I am familiar with both the good and bad of the Super Sniper series of scopes and I understant how the older model can have in audible clicks or feel mushy if it is not used regularly but then my 8.5-25x50 Mk4 felt really mushy and had inaudible clicks when I mounted it the other day after getting the rifle back from Walter Birdsong for finish in Tan T. For anything in the $300 range to have reliable tactical knobs was still a good deal for the money. I do however really doubt that you have seen the new first focal plane variable 3-9x42 Super Sniper that I have been talking about because it does not share any parts with the older versions and is made in a different factory in Japan, the glass is AWESOME. The new 3-9 has only been available for purchase for about two months and it is a really nice scope for $599. Buster I dont know what your personal problem with SWFA results from but you can only expect someone selling something to compare apples to apples so just because someone on e-bay might not know what they have doesnt mean that any store anywhere will sell you that same product for less than what it cost them. I have seen SWFA again and again replace and repair Super Sniper scopes even ones that were originally made by TASCO right before SWFA bought the Super Sniper brand name. So my suggestion is if you have a friend who is not FULLY SATISFIED with their Super Sniper have them call SWFA and talk to Chris Farris or CFII or Brady and let them help to make it right. I've bought a lot of scopes from them and I have gotten some GREAT deals. I am a Very Statisfied Customer.

Buster you obviously have some reason that you are responding that way and I really dont understand why you feel that way but if you would like to tell me I'll try to see if I can make a suggestion. Do you work for some other optics retailer or what is the issue. You seem angry but I dont understand because I am trying to be helpful.

Not angry, just speaking my mind. And no, I don't work for an optics company, simply a matter of there's too many good optics companies to buy from for me to deal with one that's shown me what SWFA has shown me over the years. If you're happy with them, more power to you. I'll send my money to Cameraland New York, the Opticszone, or Cabela's.

I dont know what caused you to feel the way you do but I have bought optics from lots of places to. I got a scope from Cabelas it came broken - probably got broken due to shipping so not really their fault. Ive bought optics from Midway and had pretty good service and I still buy a lot of parts there. I've bought tens of thousands of dollars of Photo Optics when I was doing pro photography from Adorama, B&H Photo Video, Calumet. But I can tell you that I have gotten good service from SWFA. I do think that a guy needs to understand a couple of things though and I call them or email them and ask if a certain product is in stock sometimes it isnt and someone just orders on line then wonders why it took a while. If you call and talk to them I have found them really willing to be helpful. If you somehow feel that you got screwed on some deal lets see if that cant be fixed.
