Would like to get opinions on these two scopes for new 6x45 build... I have Monarchs so I'm familiar with the Nikon glass but no Leupolds.. Which do you feel is the best glass and tactile adjustments... Appreciate the opinions and comment!!

Both are decent:

M223
Turrets turn to easy for me

Mark AR Mod 1
Solid turrets
Has an illuminated reticle
Great Warranty and Customer Service

I concur. I would also add that the M223's I have sold all had mushy feeling turrets as well.

I recently acquired a couple of the Mark AR scopes in 4-12. ( I know some of you just gasp reading that) I did some horse trading for a couple scopes I had into the Luppys.

I think they are a solid little scope with a decent amount of adjustment amd better glass than the Nikon for sure. I put one on a little Cooper 38 in 221 FB the other is waiting for a 300 Blackout I'm building.

I recently put the 3-9x40 with the TMR Firedot on an Armalite I rebuilt. They really made some nice upgrades to the Mark AR Mod 1 over the Mod 0. These all have exposed turrets with Mil adjustments. As for the Nikon, I have never used one, just looked through them. I agree the turrets feel mushy and have read of people having them move in the field too easily.

The Mod 1 version has exposed turrets that are 1/10 mil. The original version they were in moa and had a cover on them. I have an original and just got a new Mod 1. On my Mod 1 all three of the set screws on my elevation turret stripped out the second time I rezeroed it. I called Leupold and they are sending me three new screws at no charge. I can't get the original ones out though so I may have to send it to Leupold. Other than the weak set screws, I have no complaints on the scope.

I have both the Mod 0 and 1. Both are nice but the low profile turrets of the Mod 1 are nice. And the mil/mil setup is tough to beat.

Both are a lot of scope for the money.

Friend is running the Nikon. Little too sloppy for me. And that's saying something...
