Just curious if anyone could tell me what the lowest parallax adjustment is on this scope? Toying with getting one for a .17 HMR rifle.

Thanks

Craig

I want to be able to minimize the blur on the target while shooting at, let's say, small dots at closer ranges while the scope is set on it's highest magnification. I believe, and I could be wrong, this is the purpose of the side focus on this model?

Yep I run an older 4.5-14x on my Cooper HMR. Works great for shooting ground squirrels out there at 200 yards. Hardly over kill.

The magnification range seemed appropriate for the occasional hunt, but also for fun at the range with smaller targets. The reason I'm looking to focus at closer targets, while using the higher end of the magnification.

Pretty sure my 4.5-14s will focus down to 25yds that's were i setup to get them on paper when first mounted! I also feel they are in no way a over kill on a rim fire. He!! i got a 6-24 on my 22 rim fire

We shoot anywhere from 25 yards out to 150 yards at the range. My two dedicated hunting set-ups, which are .270 Win and .22 Hornet, both wear a 1.5-6x42 scope. I like the 30mm tube and the side focus on this particular Leupold scope. If this scope can focus down to 25 yards or so, like reddog964 believes, then this scope should work out fine.

Thanks

I just looked at mine and I could hit a ground squirrel easy with it at 25 yards with it on 14X. But It is not crystal clear just a little out of focus I think. But this was at estimated 25 yards at 35-40 yards it was crystal clear.
And it's the exact scope you asked about.

Craig here you go! I am camping so I used things across the street. I lasered this license plate at 20 yards!

This is 30 yards lasered the lug nuts were very clear. This is a little tricky trying to take picture with my iPad through scope.

I just looked thru mine out the back door and i can see the Phillips slots in a Phillips head screw in the back fence at 30 feet! Not yards, I wanted to say before mine would focus at 12yards at the range on a 1/4 dot but I wanted to make sure!

You will be very Happy with the scope on the HMR

Great pictures "Viper"

Well I never thought of a scope in that range for anything under my 22-250. I see several people that have this setup, that's why I said before, buy it if you want it. Call me cheap, but I "Only" have VX-1's on my 4, 22's and one 22 Mag. I might look into changing out my 4.5-14x40 Nikon BuckMaster on my 22-250 to maybe my 22 Mag. Thanks for the feedback guys.
