I read a reference to one of these in a previous post and did a little googling concerning them. Who has one and how good are they at reducing muzzle blast? For example, a 16" barrel with this comp would give the same perceived blast at your ears as a ? length barrel (in you experience) with or without a flash hider.
I noted that Brownells carries them. Also, during my Googling, I think I saw a reference to a shorter Levang Linear Comp made for 16" barrels. I can't refind this reference and can't find anyone listing the shorter ones for sale. Do they really exist?
I am picking up a Bushmaster Optics Ready Carbine today and would really like to explore this levang 'thing.' Any downside to them?
