Pretty easy to remove.

First I got the correct size of rubber tubing to fit the barrel and slit it down the side, install on barrel.

Then I used two blocks of wood that had V's routered in them at the barrel vise and placed this setup in a bench vise. With the rubber on the barrel you don't need much clampage to get it sucure. The factory flash hider should have flats on it for a wrench, unscrew. I cleaned the barrel threads very well, and the inside threads on the Levang. No LockTite. I put a wrap or two of electrical tape on the Levang and used poly lined pliers to tighten the Levang since it has no flats. Also, since there is no indexing involved, I used the same peel washer that was on it.
