LightForce Dimmer/Rheostat repair

I have two of the LightForce battery bags with the rheostat/dimmer's and they both quit working on the dimmer side of the switch which I have read on here is a common problem. I had a friend fix one and it lasted a few months and once again the dimmer side burned out. So after some research on here and a PM to Whiteknuckle one of our great sponsors he got me pointed in the right direction. We have a member here on our sight who is a real pro at repairing these babies.
I thought I would make this post so others would not have to look so hard to find the help they need when their Lightforces go dead.
I would like to thank John1951 for the fast turn around on getting mine back working better than when they were new.

Thanks to you as well Jeremiah for pointing me in the right direction. I got to look closely at one of your lights at the PM hunt and I will definitely be getting one of those in the near future.
 
Just be sure that you check your battery connections first - the dimmer switch will not work if you hook the battery terminals up "backwards". The on/off switch will still work fine.

Long story how I found that out!
