loads needed for a 220 swift using 52 grain amaxes.

I was wondering if anyone has some good reload data for a 220 swift using 52 grain amaxes and IMR 4064 or any other powder. Thanks

I am using 41 grains of either 4007ssc or h380 in my 22-250 Ackley and 52 gr amax

Have not shot 52 A- Max, but with 53 V-Max 40.0gr 4007ssc and 41.0gr RL-17 are good shooters for me.

I use 38 grains of 4064 behind a 50g v-max and it work very well I bet you can get close to that with a 52g a-max...Jason

When the 4064 runs out I am going to try 4007ssc

I use the 53gr hp and they use the same data from hornady's book. They have a max of 37.5, I load at 37 gr. (The 37 gr was slightly more accurate for my rifle)

My swift likes 36.8g IMR-4064 with the 53g vmax

36g blc2 is the load I used for ALL 50-52g bullets for 30 yrs. Runs about 3600 fps & accurate.

IMR 4064 works for me but I had some bad experiences with the 52 gr A-Maxes. Nice and accurate but didn't do well on a couple of coyotes I shot with them. One coyote was out a good distance but under 300 yards. The other was no more than 40 yards. The bullet has a thicker jacket than the V-Max and doesn't open as well. Both coyotes died but not until after a good run.
