Does anyone know if the Lohman Invisi-predator caller is any good?

Just getting started and don't want to buy an expensive one just yet.

If it's not any good could you tell me which one is for the money. I really don't want to spend more than 80 buck on everything.

thanks

I tried the search by could find any thing!!

Are you really just getting started? new to predator calling? Congrats on taking up a great shooting sport!

If I were starting over, and limited to an $80. budget, I might consider a different tack.... The sound quality from a "cheap" electronic is far inferior to a good mouth blown call and learning to blow one is a blast.

I think I'd buy one of the JS cd's ($15)(I really like Bobcat 1), a cheap but good sounding cd boombox (~$40), a decent closed reed cottontail or jackrabbit mouth call ($10-15)(like Circe or Knight&Hale) and a squeaker ($10)... If you've got a boombox already, you might consider another cd or two, like JS's Predator 1 and maybe an open reed call. That $80 would be gone pretty fast either way, but the sounds, the diversity, and quality, and the volume you can put out using your own breath are going to be a whole lot more interesting to mr. coyote.

I'd play the rabbit sounds at home, or in the car a while and practice with the mouth calls until I could mimic the rabbit. Use the boombox, to add the meadowlark or woodpecker distress (both bobcats and coyotes will investigate those noises) and keep my squeaker handy. Electronic callers are a relatively new phenomenon, but predator hunting has been around a long time... and when that cheap electronic is buried in the garage somewhere collecting dust, the mouth calls will only have mellowed with age and you'll have a skill that will last as long as you do.

Kissing the back of your hand won't replace your girlfriend, but the right squeaky kiss will stop a fleeing coyote dead in his tracks for one last look back at you, and hopefully a shot, almost every time. No batteries required.

If you still want to try one of those electronics, there's probably a bunch of us with dusty ones in the garage that cost plenty when they were new, never really worked all that well, and with which we would gladly part for that $80....

I don't have anything yet!

It'll be here friday I hope.

Actually I just bought a johnny stewert pray master.

I got it used for 115 shipped with the long speaker cord and extra sound cards.

I thought I'd spend a little more since it sounded like a good deal.

Thanks you guy's for giving me the info.

and I'll try the back of the hand kiss Nahuatl.
