Lookin To BUY a new AR-15....

It is nice but I would just buy a Bushmaster or Olympic Arms. They are both excellent, the Oly being alittle cheaper but you will get a complete AR with the warranty and reputation.
The price will be pretty close to what it will take to build the one your looking at. Just my opinion but I have been there done that.

I shoot a Bushmaster shorty and love it. Most of my friends have Rock Rivers. Rock River rifles come with a nice 2 stage trigger, and they are a little cheaper. Like Yotehunter6 said I would stick with a well known company.

I build AR's and recommend AR's to people. I use nothing but Rock River components. They have THE nicest AR out there and the come with the 2 stage trigger as previously stated. I highly recommend these rifles! They are extremely well made, accurate, and most importantly, reliable. The people at Rock River have been building guns for quite some time now. I got to know the owners as well by doing so much business with them. Again I highly recommend this brand; you will not be disappointed! If I was to choose another brand, I would look seriously at DPMS.

Good Luck. Let us know what you pick up!

Does rock river have a web site? See i don't know alot about ar's this is the first one. I just got rid of a M4 but i wanted a AR-15 i want something that ain't junk... So you think rockriver products is one of the better brands? Also can you buy just a simple kit from Rock River for say about 700$?

Rock River and DPMS are both fine also. If you want a chrome lined barrel you need to watch the Rock River because alot of them dont come with chrome lined barrels.
If I was you I would check out what your local dealers are handling and spend some time looking them over. None of them are what you could call inexpensive but some are cheaper than others. Spend some time on ar15.com and ask questions. You will get alot of info there. Good Luck

My uncle is gone to a gun show "Class 3 Dealer" and he is the one i got that M4 off of which i did take it back to him i really haven't had chance to talk to him... Most ppl i have talked to say just buy the stuff and put it together myself.. I dunno I would like to have it about the first of Aug. My uncle does have some AR-15's i know of but they where like 1000-1300$$$ and i don't want to put that kind of $$$$ in on one..That is why i thought that Military stuff was Good Stuff and could get by with about 700$ + whatever the reciever cost on one..

Take a good look at this website. www.insightshootingsystemsinc.com for one of the best in the business. I tested one of his AR's last year, and wrote it up in VH magazine. Lee Mosher has been building upper's for many years now. But it's pricey. Take a good look at Alan Marck's 500 yd. groups under customer's photos.

Thanks but them Prices are out of what i want to put in on one. I want one with the det. carring handle, chrome lined, adj stock,POST ban. I mean I Can put 1500$$$ in on one but I don't need it that bad I got 33 Guns and a great Varmint Rifle I just want something to plunk around with nothing like hitting a coyote from 300yds, But if i put 700-750$$$ in on one i don't want trash is there a such one out there? for that price? that won't fall apart? and will shoot straight???

I built my own too. 16" CAR style--A3 top--
RRA lower. Have only $600 invested--that includes
1 piece scope mount and 50mm-3X9 scope.
Lots cheaper than buying completed rifle and
was fun to put together.
I used Model 1 for the upper kit and Sable for the stripped lower and scope mount.
Lots of info at AR15.com.

Olympic, DPMS and bushmasters can be had starting at around 750.00 - 800.00.
Check the on line gun auctions. Like you said you dont want problems thats why I would stick with a good brand name. You can build one yourself but you could end up with problems if you dont do your homework.

OK, It is between a AR-15 or a Browning 300 WIN MAG safri Grade cost 900$ but I can get it for 800$ so i dunno?...But i realy do like the Ar-15 just I am scared i am going to buy a POS.

Tried to post a picture. Didn't work /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif . Try again later. Get the bushmaster, I'm glad I did.

Screamer, head over to: http://www.ar15.com
for info on just about any make/model of AR. You'll find out about all of the brands and what people like/dislike about them. Enjoy your new black rifle. God Bless The Troops. MI VHNTR

Around here, Utah, the Bushmaster V match with 20" free float barrel costs $850.00. Accurate, reliable and fun to shoot. I love mine.

J&T have excellent products, and their kits go together well on RRA lowers. If you want the best accuracy, dump the chrome lined barrel. I bought the HB varmint kit from J&T.

I have also sold, in a gunstore, Rock River Arms, ArmaLite, and Bushmaster.

Rock River was our hottest seller, with Bushie and ArmaLite holding their own. In the price range you are looking, RRA will have the best trigger, and they use a Wilson Match grade barrel, IIRC, with no chrome lining. Very accurate.

Have fun!

OK so if you had 750$ what kind would you buy i mean to good stuff is kinda high i guess i could put more into one just don't want to really..
