Hi i been looking at gamo air rifles the one i been looking at is the at DicksSportingGoods for a little over 2 hunderd bucks anyone one know anything about gamo are good or bad ones to get?
If you look up Gamo CFX you will get a bunch of info. They are not a break barrel but a under lever. I bought the CFX and it will shoot a bit under a inch at 40 yards. They are right around that $200.00 mark. If you do a seach for gamo cfx video review you will find a report on it from the airgun reporter. I did buy the Charlie Detuna after market trigger it was $32.00 it does make the trigger better. All of the springer guns take some time to learn how to shoot. I have put about 600 pellets through it so far and it is working great.
i like the looks of them the one im looking at is a varmit i think it has a 4x32 on it and a lazer and a light like i said for a little over 2 hunderd bucks but i want to make sure thy are pretty good to bye first?
Read the reviews, the laser sucks and does not hold zero and they say the scope sucks which mine did to. The trigger on all Gamos suck. If it is metal it can be replace with a after market trigger that is retty good. If you go to airgun wharehouse you can get a RWS 48 refurbished unit with a scope for $232.00 new they are close to $400.00 They are a great gun accurate and velocity close to a 22 rimfire
I got a crosman storm xt last spring. It shoots great and is very powerfull the only bad thing is it is almost 7 pounds anyway I have killed a couple of frogs and about 45 birds with it. Here is a link if you want to see it or buy it http://www.crosman.com/airguns/rifles/break-barrel/C1K773932.
I have the Gamo hunter .177 cal
I put a 3x-9x simmons on it and have killed pidgeons and starlings at over 70 yds off the top of light poles. http://www.natchezss.com/Category.cfm?co...rodTitle=Hunter 220 AIR RIFLE 177 1000FPS

Buck,
Not sure that you'll be happy with the $200 air rifle, after you buy it.
I spent 3 years shooting nothing but air rifles 10 years ago. So, I learned something about which ones perform, and which ones don't. No one I spent time shooting with had a Gamo.
