I used 5.8 gr. Unique behind a 200 gr. lead SWC bullet in a Colt officer's and a full sized Kimber. Very mild target load but worked flawlessly in both.
Alliant's manual calls for 7.1 gr. w/200 gr. JHP bullet, Fed. 150 primer & 5" bbl @ 975 fps. Their target load (LSWC Bullet) shows 5.1 gr. @ 810 fps, same primer/barrel length.
Unique burns a bit dirty, but ya gotta clean 'em anyway /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif.
