My dad was interested in purchasing a black n' tan/american coonhound. We haven't seen one in our area for quite some time.Looking for the classic features, long ears, etc. Haven't run fox/coyote hounds in quite a few years. My dad was even considering one as a pet.We currently have beagles which we run on cottontail/hare.We are located in northeast PA so if anyone know where we might find a hound somewhere in our vacinity let me know.Thanx. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

the old time black, tans are scarce in some areas. i have one out back that's been a good dog. AKC &UKC registered, she's been spayed, so no pups here. PR Annie is a top-notch watch dog, but she's getting old. they are very protective, smart. a friend gave her to my family as a pup, i grew up with Redbones and like them a lot. both are easy going, smart, and very loyal/protective to the owner. English are neat dogs also. just depends on what you train them to do. good luck. tj

Go to Coondawgs.com, then go to the kennel/breeders link. Lots of selections, plan on driving though. I done have a bluedawg reserved that should be born in about 3 months but I gotta go to Georgia, so no big deal for a lifetime of enjoyment and love from one, i love a Bluetick to death followed the by the black and tan and redbone. Everyone here hunts walkerdogs or mixed mutts.

I got a pup last year out of two time albert, he is from the ol' fasion blood, long legs and ears. I am going to breed him to my female this year or maybe next.

I got a treeing walker that can go if a B & T isn't that important. He has been started on coon.
