If possible, buy a scope for a muzzleloader. Stay away from a rimfire scope because they are not meant to handle that kind of recoil. You would be lucky to have it last more than one shot. If you can get up around the $250 range, Nikon and Leupold make a really nice muzzleloader scope. As I was told by many members on this site, "Buy good optics, and you will only cry once." If you spend $100 for three different scopes that don't last, your already in the hole. Buy a good scope like the ones I mentioned, and not only will you be happy with the purchase, you will have a lifetime of use with it.
