Looking for a hot shoe snap on adaptor.

I know this is probably a long shot but here goes.I taught S&R for years using Flir as my proprietary units.I now teach primarily depts that don't have much of a budget.The problem is that the LS series thermal does not record.While scanning through older posts I came across a post from a guy who had 3-d printed unit he had invented.He had left an email but I tried sending an inquiry but have gotten no response.This snap on hot shoe was orange and worked to stream video through a pal or RCA output.Any help would be appreciated.Since the acquisition by Teledyne getting anything for these older units is like wringing out a dry towel.Thanks in advance ..Dutch
