Looking for Info On .25 for AR-15

All, I'm brand new to the Predator Forum but I've been reading some of your posts from the outside. It was Mike from DTI who sent me to this great forum.
I've read some of the posting on the subject of .25 caliber for the AR-15. And thus far, I've learned a few things such as that this exist the 25 DTI and the 25-233/AR and perhaps others. The biggest reason for wanting the this caliber is my passion and obsession for AR's and reloading; I currently reload for my 5.56 mm AR's (RRA, Armalite etc.) and various non AR caliber; .300 Weatherby, .300 WSM, .300 Win Mag so the logical progression was to obtain the .300 Blackout AR configuration and reload my .308s for this caliber.
I love the Quarter-Bore caliber and presently reload for the .257 Weatherby and 25-06 so again, my progression is to obtain a AR in .25 caliber.
I would like to hear from some the folks who have experience with the .25 caliber in a AR's configuration: how many other .25 calibers are out there, which one is better (if there is such a thing), which can be reloaded easier, where can I get barrels or complete uppers.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Also, I wouldn't be persuaded into the 6MM or 6.5 as I already shoot 6.5 in my .260 DPMS.

Welcome to PM! A lot of guys on here share your passion for AR's and 25 cals.

I had one of Mike's 25 Wssm's for a while and it had pretty wicked power for an AR 15. And Mike's work is great. But if I did it again it would be a 25 DTI, less powder, easier to deal with afa brass availability.

Just my $.02.

I've have an OLY 25 WSSM and a Black Hole 25X6.8. The first is just a step up from the second as the second is basicaly a 257 Roberts. Good shooters with deer in mind or elk if the mood strikes as teh WSSM is basically a 25-06.

The WSSM has plenty of horsepower and is a fun one to shoot in an AR. The 25X6.8 is a [beeep] cat and is a shoot it all day number.

Thanks,
The only problem from reading forums is I'm told, the 25 WSSM is a little finicky with reloads. Have you had any problems reloading this caliber. It was going to be my first choice when I talked with Mike at DTI, but, since then changed my mind.

Thanks
The .25 WSSM was going to be my 1st choice but changed my mind after reading about this caliber. Have you had any problems with reloading, I'm told it can be very finicky? 25-6.8 seems to be my choice right now.

.25 DTI is the single best way to go imo. I don't have one but I do have a 6.5 DTI and have killed 13 or so whitetails and a fair number of coyotes with it. I also recently finished a 25/223 assembly but don't have any hunting time with it yet. It will be a more compact fun .25 AR platform that uses standard bolts/ mags etc.

I've neve had any 25WSSM reloading problems. The brass is thick and lots of lube helps.

The 25X6.8 is a duck shot for loading and reliability. I'd be gald to help if you need any information. Ritcj Johnson can get you set up and assit you in any areas alos. He can get you a barrel or buid an upper in about four to five weeks.

Also if you want the standrd type non-bushing dies CH4Dis making sets that are inexpensive.

Ive been reloading for 25 wssm for a little over a year now (not in ar platform) and the only problem I've had is finding brass. You would be better off finding factory rounds and start reloading them. Ive had good luck with 75 grn v- maxes 110 grn interbonds and 115 grn nosler prts. So far I've used varget,imr4350,and h4350 with no problems.
