Looking for Night Vision Scope

Hello all, I am new to the site, and have learned a lot from several of you. But I would like to ask, "What is a good quality NV Scope for around a $1,000." I feel like I can trust this site better than some of the others. Thanks

You are going to have a hard time finding and good quality night vision optic for that price. You can do it but you will have to keep your eyes open. At the very minimum you will need an optic with a U.S. made Gen 2 image intensifier tube, preferably gen 3, Photonis-DEP also make great Gen 2HD image tubes. Gen 1 will not be very useful without a powerful secondary IR light source.

For a grand I would keep an eye out for a used AN/PVS-4 gen 2 weapons sight. For around $1800 TNVC has some excellent Litton M-845's in Gen 2. They also have Gen 3 for a little more.

I bought this week a pulsar n750 scope for $1400 and a Night Optics IR-K2 elr $150.00 using some coupons I had from optics planet. after reading a lot this week I think thats about the cheapest you can get buy with, with out going to a gen 1 device. I have a gen 1 monocular and I didn't want to go that route on a scope
I based my decisions on my need.
price, I spent a little more than the 1500 I wanted to stay in to. but oh well
shot's 100yds or closer
detection 200yds or closer
my hunting was going to be woods and small fields. and if i get a chance at a bigger field and it works out... even the better.

I just picked up a armasight nemesis gen 2 from optics planet for 1280 so far it seems pretty good and I'm hoping to get out before the end of the weekend to try it out in the field. I searched around and a lot of info I was finding on armasight seemed to have pretty good reviews.
