Getting tired of taking out batteries to charge. Anyone have the rechargeable battery pack and charger? Can I leave it plugged in all the time so it's ready to go when needed?

I have the pack and charger, I don't leave it plugged in, just plug it in after a hunt and within 2 hours it's usually charged. It will hold a charge for weeks and still run a couple days I suspect.

Based on both your experiences, I will do the same. Just ordered the battery pack and charger from AllPredatorCalls

Thanks guys. I'll go through the charging port then as well. That makes it a lot easier than opening the battery compartment each time.

I charge mine without the power switch on...indicator light on the charger is red and when fully charged it turns green. Never had a problem with it doing it this way. Did not see anything in the instructions about this.

I checked with tech support and was told that the older LDs did in fact require that the power switch be on during charging. But that the new units and those sold last year have been updated so that it is now unnecessary.

OK, I wondered if that may be the case. I just bought mine about 6 weeks ago.

I use the battery pack but remove the pack to charge it up after using it. reason being, i read somewhere if the pack is not disconnected some juice will still be used by the caller some how.
