Lutan F

I'm wondering if anyone has had any issues with Lutan F. I recently had a problem with hair slipping right at the base of the ears of a lynx only after it came out of that bath. The issue is not skinning or fleshing or anything like that.. it's almost like the hair is peeling off. I left it in there for 24 hrs (maybe three hours longer than recommended) and the directions do say not to leave in longer than recommended. Anyone have any ideas?

i use lutan f and have never had a problem yet. i only leave them in for 17 hours

You gotta follow the directions. If it's slipping though, leaving it in the tan 3 extra hours shouldnt do that. That sounds like a fleshing, salting, rehyrdrating or pickling problem to me. What exactly did you do, from the time you dispatched it until it went in the tan? We should be able to get it figured out. Hair only slips due to bacterial growth eating away around the follicle which loosens the hair. I've used Lutan-f for 8 years now, and any problems I've encountered have always centered on what happened before the hide ever went near the pickle.
