Lyman E-ZEE Trim Problem?

I have the Lyman E-ZEE Trim and sat down last night to trim around 500 pieces of 223 brass. Around 2/3 of the brass would not fit onto the pilot. I'd already resized the brass and tumbled to remove lube. I didn't have this problem with my 22-250 brass.

Is this normal? Has anyone else had this issue?

I have had the same issue and while it was in the drill took some sand paper and sanded the pilot down a little bit. Do you own a case prep machine? If so purchase this little guy or this combo works well for me.

Link 1) threads into the case prep center and has a pilot like the EZ trim. Much faster than a drill.

Link 2) I'm cheap so opted for this to save my hands and not mess with a drill. The lee cutter slides right in there and trims great.

I had also thought about taking a piece of sandpaper to it while it's in the drill. I do have a case prep center. I have the Lyman Case Prep Center. I'm going to have to check that out. Do you know if the pilots from the EZ trim will fit into the Lee?

Unfortunately they will not, you must buy the lee ones but they are pretty cheap and just thread in and out so you don't have to use an allen key and you can also adjust the length with the lee pilots.

I don't have the electric prep center but i thread the lee cutter into that lyman lathe thing i linked and it speeds up the process a lot.
