aftCG New member Mar 8, 2011 #3 Plan on throwing down some cash. An eotech could mount on one of the forward hand guard rail sections like this: http://www.desertwarriorproducts.com/Forwardrailm1a.html My M1A came with a rear mount which has rail sections on it (McCann Ind). I'm here to tell you I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it. http://www.mccannindustries.com/m1a1.htm I could drop my eotech on here but it would be quite high. This is a lame iphone pic:

B Bigdog2 New member Mar 8, 2011 #4 Sorry no help on the mount. I like the picture above but I ran across these up-dated M-14s the other day from FULTON ARMORY http://fulton-armory.com/fultonarmoryusriflecal762mmm14-1-1-1-1-1.aspx

D dirtdarte New member Mar 8, 2011 #5 I went with a UltiMAK forward rail, LaRue mount and an Aimpoint. Love it. You could do the Eotech with no problem. Here are some links: http://www.desertwarriorproducts.com/Forwardrailm1a.html http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/Categories.bok?category=Optic+Mounts Hope that works. I did the whole M1A mount with scope thing in several different configurations and finally ditched the whole effort. Too heavy. Too bulky. Bla Bla Bla... Love the aimpoint.... oh, did I mention that its FAST and ACCURATE at the SAME TIME!
