M40 Barrel Contour

Just curious, but do any of you use a M40 contour barrel on your varmint/predator rifles? I know there may be some additional weight involved, but I guess that depends on the finished length of the barrel too.

I run a few, but they're so heavy, they're a hassle to tote around.

To me, a Rem varmint contour would be the perfect contour. All my new builds are Rem varn con.

My 7 mag fit perfectly into a M40 stock. It's 26" 830 muzzle and a straight taper from 3" forward of the chamber. Not to bad to pack. It's about 12.8-13.2 lbs
