Magpul PRS Stock Question

i have Scott at SD building me a rifle with a PRS stock, so i have researched this topic myself.

what i have found is that it does-not have standard sling studs on it, however, you can order a sling stud that is longer and replaces one of the bolts on the sling attachment loop on the rear of the stock. (google search would get you to one, also ebay has a few)

or mid-way usa has one that goes on the bottom to attach a monopod that can be used for a sling

both are about 10 bucks just depends what you are looking for.

hop this will help ya out.

Thank you, I have a stud adaptor that I'm using on my standard stock. It has a flat piece of steel with a hole in it for the bottom screw in the stock to hold it in place It replaces the standard one that came with it and allows me to use a standard sling swivel on it.

No there is not a sling stud on them.It does have a sling loop already on it on the mag release side. I can get a picture of mine if you want?

I'm sure you remember that I lugged mine around for the entire PM sans sling because I couldn't find just what I wanted. Just after the hunt, I found a generic all-purpose strap (Blackhawk - Single point adapter) that secures around the PRS and allows for the attachment of a single point sling. So far, I like it. I haven't hunted with it yet, but it's pretty handy for just toting it around. I like the idea of being able to unclip the sling while on stand for better mobility, then just clip it back up for the hike - the sling stays on the body. When you're back to the truck, unclip for the ride.

Desert Ram if you remember mine. I like it because it's a double strap. Stays put while on the atv and stays put while walking in with my gear.
Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, if you want to stick with that sling, you'll probably want to go with one of those studs/bolts that replaces one of the original stock bolts. Assuming the sling isn't sewn into the swivels, you may also consider routing it directly through one of the available slots on the PRS.
