Male coyote last night

After a 6 week pause I finally got out last night for a few stands. 1st stand we set up in a pasture and I howled. Apparently there was a bobcat laying at the wood line that we did not see when we walked in. It stood up and I mistakenly hit Pup Distress instead of a squeak distress. It was obvious that the bobcat was not having any part of that but my buddy scanned around and saw this coyote about 50 yds away. We got on him and he started to trot off. We bark stopped him at about 80 yds, DRT. We hunted 3 more stands and did not asee or hear anything else. Hope to get out again soon, I needed a night out.

That is great that you got out and got it done. Thanks for sharing the hunt. Too bad about the bobcat and the button push error. Things happen. You made good on the coyote though, so not all was lost.

I can certainly relate to not getting out. For reasons beyond my control, It's been a month since my last successful hunt and I've only gotten out once since then. I'm hoping things change for the better. Terrible luck can't last forever!... I hope?...

Congrats!

Thats interesting though, I’ve called in more bobcats on pup distress than I have prey sounds. I have no clue if it’s curiosity or they’re hoping for a free meal, but it doesn’t scare ours away.

push a button, fumble a button, bump the remote and foxbang goes off, or button don't respond... been there and congrats
