For you guys with stock triggers in a marlin bolt action 22 mags.
I replaced my trigger spring and droped my trigger pull from about 6lbs to 2.5 for under a buck wow what a difference it made in my 982 vs heavy. Takes about 10 min.
For those interested you can get the info at Rim fire centrals site under marlin its a sticky.I dont feel comfortable giving out this info my self so check the site if your interested, huge difference.
Bob.

You are referring to the pen/spring trick?
Can't comment on that trick but I can say the older marlin 22mags & my 25MN trig was terrible. I took it to a smith and it's so much better now, accuracy went up, all that.

Yep, I did this last year using the Rimfire Central step by Step. Now the T9000 Trigger is scary light, I'd say its about equal with my Tikka trigger. I also did one one my Encore which was a bear of a trigger. Its now the best trigger I have on any rifle. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

If you put a dab of molybdenum disulphide (Never Seize, Anti Seize, etc.) grease on the engagement surfaces, the trigger pull usually will feel smoother and lighter.
