Marlin 22wmr misfires

I was wondering if anybody on here knows what to do about this. its a bolt gun with the tube feed and it is probably 20 some yrs old. my old man said it has always misfired a lot. he sent it off twice way back when to have it fixed but it still misfires. they told him to use federal ammo and it would not happen as often. i know about 6 yrs ago my buddy got a marlin bolt gun from walmart that was stainless and mag fed and every now and thin it would misfire. them 2 guns is why i have never purchased a marlin
 
Marlin ran a bunch of these with too-light striker springs. They sent me a new assembly a few years back, no charge. Keep on calling them; they know what the problem is.

I have had to replace the striker spring on an old 980 DL and a newer 981T . I got both from Numrich gun parts .It took care of the problem on both guns .
