Marlin 39A and Skinner sights

My wife just got her dads 39A, and I am obsessed with it. I would like to pretty it up a bit for her and keep coming across some sights called "Skinner sights". They look awesome, and seem to get great reviews everywhere I look.
Just scoped her gun for fun, shot 50 yards and now I am even more in love with it. The horn sights work just fine, but I have it in my head to get some of these Skinner sights and a new gold trigger (the old one is showing wear).
She will not let me scope the gun, so I thought a good quality set of peep sights would be the next best thing.
Anyone have any input on the Skinners or any other suggestions?
She is not a hard core gun gal, but she appreciates what she has, and this is an important one, it is the gun she wanted, plus it was her fathers.
Skinner allows a bit of "Bling" with some brass accents, and I was hoping for some input before I make my order.
Thanks guys!

I bought a Skinner sight for my Henry back when Doc Skinner still owned and operated it. Great product and a great guy to deal with.
I've talked to the new owner on the phone about a sight I bought for a 336. Maybe I caught him on a bad day but he wass a total d--k. Still makes a good product as long as you don't have to deal with him. I sent the 336 sight back and bought a Williams.
Personally I'd look for an older period correct Lyman or Williams. I have an older Williams on my 39. Does every thing the Skinner does and is easier to adjust IMO.

Thanks Pete.
The Williams is the one that sits on one side of the receiver isn't it? Symmetry is paramount to me..
Have pictures of your current set up?
And thanks for the heads up on the customer support, that is important to us.

I have 4 lever guns and have Skinner sights on all of them. They look like they are part of the rifle. The other sight I looked at looked like they should be surgically removed.
I've talked to Andy (owner) multiple times and he couldn't have been nicer and more helpful to me.

Like I said, "he might have been having a bad day" but I'd never buy from him again.

Since symmetry's paramount you won't like the Williams but since you ask, here's a pic anyway.

I really like the skinner sight on my 39a. I have the black gold version and the dovetail insert that holds the aperture. Skinner has also proven to be a class act with fast shipping and great response to emails.
