McGowen barrels vs Shaw barrels...?

I have both, the mcgowan in 6x45 and the ER in .223, BOTH shoot nice sub moa at 100 yds and about 5.5" @ 700 yds. Borescoped both when new and the mcgowan was sharper/smoother. The ER was sharp, smooth but had a tad of roughness in the grooves, but they both shoot very sweet.
BOTH clean up very easy and do not mine copper at all.

I would have to say no as well. As far as I can tell, my Shaw barrels shoot every bit as well as my Criterion and Krieger barrels do.

I am not convinced that they are as easy to clean, but as far as accuracy goes it's almost a dead heat.

This is my hunting load with my 7 rem mag. Ive had this barrel for 4 years and have shot ALOT through it already. This was working up a new load with 140 vld. It'll always shoot under 3/4" if I'm doing my part. And smaller if I take my time.

McGowen is a step up the food chain in barrel makers from what I understand.
Shaw makes good barrels and McGowen uses more procedures to ensure accuracy but i don't know that either company offers true 'match grade' products (from what I have read about).

I've not owned a Shaw, although I have a barrel on an AR that might be, the guy I bought it from didn't know for sure.

But I have owned a McGowen on a 8mm Rem.Mag. and it was a great shooter and always seemed to clean nice.

BTW, please define "long range accuracy" for us. Everyone has a different slant on that.
