I'm think about the A3 sporter for my savage model 11 anybody have any of these stocks and if so what are they like vs the stocks that have the adjustable cheek riser

The Sporter should be able to get you to a 50-56mm objective without needing any adjustment up, depending on your cheek. The Sporter was designed around field shooting positions where their other a series stocks are designed around prone. That's according to mcmillan.

I have one A3 sporter on a Rem 700. I like it very much, but still prefer the Gamescout. I often see people saying the GS can't provide an adequate cheek weld without the adjustable cheekpiece or stock pack, but have never noticed an issue with it. The ergos on both are very svelt. If you like the A3, I say go for it. You won't be disappointed. Here is the A3 next to a GS.
