MGM barrel with Stratton hanger bar=HAPPY

I finally got my new 6mmBR barrel to the range to site in the scope and do a little load testing. It is a 20" barrel with a 1-12 twist, it has a Statton Custom hanger bar and converted forearm. I just used virgin Lapua brass, Varget and 80gr Berger bullets with a 12x scope. To say I'm happy with the outcome would be an understatement. Here are some pics including the target, I was making scope adjustments after shots 1 and 2, then I shot a group of 5 and finally made one more adjustment before firing 1 round each at the remaining 3 targets. I think this will make a great predator rifle and maybe a deer rifle for my wife or daughter with the right bullets.

Nice shootin. I own several MGM/VVCG barrels some with hanger bars and some without. None has ever been disappointing.
 
All of my Match Grade Machine and their earlier Virgin Valley Custom Guns barrels are just as accurate on my Pro Hunters as any Bolt action guns out there.
 
My MGM 220 swift has a slight out of round chamber. Thinking of sending it back. It shoots well, but the brass gets worked alot just above the base.
 
Hope you guys don't mind if I ask a question as you are Thompson shooters.I have a contender carbine which I like but of course the trigger ain't much.What do you think is the best option to get a really good trigger?If I had that taken care of I would be ready to get a few barrels as I like the set up otherwise.
Really nice looking barrel and I read really good things about the caliber.

Do you have the old style Contender or the G2? The old style Contender I had had an excellent trigger that only got better with a spring kit. The old style Contender also had 2 set screws you could adjust to help the trigger pre and over travel. The G2 can be helped with a trigger job/spring kit you can do yourself with the help from Bellm TC's.
 
Two of my t/c's have Bellm triggers jobs and they are way better than i thought they would be. Smooth and my new encore that was done breaks like glass. I like really was impressed
 
+1 on the Bellm spring kit!My Pro Hunter breaks like glass at 2 pounds and since mine isone of the first frames it has an overtravel screw in it.
 
Should have said G2 Contender.Thanks for the replies,sounds like Bellem is the most used trigger job.I saw their web site.I may send it to them.How long did it take to get it back from Bellm?
I have had much worse triggers but it shoots so good as is I know a trigger job would be worth it.It is just creepy then a little to heavy,mostly the creepy I don't like.
Catkiller did you just put in the spring kit alone and get help or did you do more?
