Any of you Michigan boys know where to go for good
bobcat? I thought I remembered someone saying
there were quite a few in the Baldwin area. Are
you talking the state land southwest of town? I'm
real interested in the Baldwin area because we
have a trailer up there I can stay at.
 
howdy silver fox, i too am looking for some good bobcat area to hunt. i have a buddy whos grandpa has land in the UP. i am talking him into going up there. they say they have seen many. i have noticed not many fellow michiganders want to talk about their bobcat areas. secret hotspots i guess haha. well if i find some good land i wil let you know. oh yeah have you been doing any predator hunting around lapeer. i tried over near columbiaville yesterday and this morning but no luck. good hunting. later, dave

count on fellow Michiganians who can you count on /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif . Just kiddin guys. I'm not looking for
specific hotspots or anything, just wondering if
theres huntable numbers.
 
Hey P-dave and Silver fox,
I think the further north you go the better, at least in the LP. I was in Roscommon county last winter ice fishing, in one of the bait shops they had pics of people with their catches, anyway there were quite a few pics of big bobcats. I heard traverse city is good also. The UP is the best however.
I was in baldwin thursday driving around manistee forest looking for hunting land. But i am sorry to tell you i have not heard about b-cats there. I am sure they are there, just ask the guys at the sporting goods stores there, they could tell ya where they are at. A friend of mine saw one just east of ludington, we are going up after it once the season starts. Speaking of that where does the zone 2 north zone begin? I know zone 2 is the rifle zone but what is the border?

Hey guys, i have a friend who hunts in alpena and he saw three in a four day hunt. So you might want to think about that area..
