I live in southern MI where their are no bobcats, and i would like to know how far north do i have to go to have a good chance to see one? and what counties do you think have the most?

Here's one from Presque Isle County. I see lots of sign up there. Seems where there is snowshoe hare sign there's cat sign.

Hey whiley,
If you check the Michigan DNR hunting guide on Bobcats you will see the countys where bobcat hunting is legal. Also that means there are enough bobcats there to have a season on them. The furthest south that i know of is oseola county, near reed city. I was up there today with the intention of hunting but i could not find any good land to hunt. I am also in Allegan county, i called tonight near the tod farm in fenville, no luck, i also hunt in Hamilton. I once heard of a guy who accidently trapped a bobcat in allegan woods.
If you want to hook-up for a hunt sometime let me know, i live outside of Holland.

Good luck,
Nigel-
P.S. Karl, that's one heck of a hat, carefull for those huge Michigan owls when calling, they may take part of your scalp.
Also nice bobcat.
