Midway USA Deals

Like be more specific as to how the EPA has caused the increase in shipping costs? (Actually, the number of new EPA mandates is lower than over the same amount of time during Bush; the cost of compliance for most new reg's is arguably higher; inflation may or may not have been factored in.) Shipping price jumps wouldn't just happen to be fuel price increases due to commodities speculation, or just plain greed, would it?
fwiw, I save money and usually time by using the more-efficient USPS's Priority Mail. No multi-million $ CEO salaries or lobbyist/politician bribes figured into the bill. (And, no, the Postal Service isn't taxpayer-funded or subsidized.)

I usually shop there sales or buy just enough to be able to use the promo code, you cam usually get a current promo code by googling the words Midway promo code and a place called retailmenot comes up. I have been buying the Glock mags this month and the shipping has been lightning fast.

I look at their shipping prices like this. "I can't drive to town any cheaper."

I live 45 miles from the nearest gunshop/reloading shop. By the time I end up driving 90 miles, I will gladly pay a little extra and have it show up in 2 days on my doorstep.

Midway works great for me. I call in my order and it is ready to pick up at their place 30 minutes latter. It takes me 45 minutes to get to there, so I never have to wait. No shipping costs, of course.

I never make a special trip to pick up a Midway order. I just order when I am going to town for bigger reasons (general shopping, doctors, etc.). We went to Columbia last night to hear a comedian's performance (Lewis Black) and picked up a Midway order prior to the show.

For those like me who pick up their orders, Midway has a new pick-up spot (two doors south of the old one) as of about a week ago. Very classy room with computers, chairs, paintings on the wall, well-done glass displays of some of Larry's guns, and a pretty girl to wait on me. MUCH different than before.

The best deal I got from Midway was Federal Premium .223 TSX for 15.99 a box. 5 boxes with shipping was $98. Granted, it was a sale, but the cheapest I have found it was $24.99.

midway have a set up in the uk now dont get me wrong i understand that its shipped from the usa and it going to add to the cost but the price thats charged is crazy and when you try to order its allways out of stock or you can back order but dont know when it will be in stock. so its better to try different stores i have used midway for a lot of years but im moving away from them for the reasons above.

Unfortunately for them, their cost is typically way higher as is their shipping so I navigate through their site to find part and model numbers and then take it to other sites to find prices and availability.

Once in awhile though, they have a nice special and I'll buy from them. It has dropped off a lot though.

I really like the deals Natchez has and for reloading components, MidSouth is hard to beat. Couldn't have said it better.

One other thing that MidwayUSA does that bugs me is their promo codes with with lik $10 off $50 are only valid on regular priced merchandise, so I'll go to use the $10 off something and have to put in way more than $50 worth of stuff to get the discount. Then the shipping is almost $15. I'm using them less and less lately.
