Midway is having their fire sale on complete 16" AR stoner uppers again. $229 with BCG and charge handle. One day only...
 
That's dirt cheap for a complete upper, even if it's just a plain-jane carbine. There's no way you could build one for that price.
 
I got one also. They are great for the price. It came with three test fired shells and after inspection everything looked to be staked well and decent quality parts. I guess we will see when we shoot it. That upper and a Palmetto state "blem" lower made for a nice $370 AR15 for my boy. I put a carry handle on it till he learns to shoot irons, then we will switch it out to a mount with a Leupold VX1 2-8x.
