Mini 14 caliber conversion

Team,

I have a mini 14 that I am rather fond of as far as the stock and custom trigger I had installed. However the .223 caliber is limiting my current use to varmints.

Can a mini 14 .223 be converted to a larger caliber?

I suppose I could go to a mini 30 but then I will lose my stock and be back at square 1 with the trigger.

These guys can do a 6X45 or 30 BLK. Not cheap

Thanks for the link. That group did my trigger job.

If I took the price of the upgrade and the cash I could get for the gun, I could buy something outright that would suit my purpose nicely.

Problem is there are not a lot of non ar platforms that have high capacity and wooden stocks in 30 caliber.

Only the M1A comes to mind but that is a world apart from a Mini.

Three would be a stretch. Two maybe. Of course I got my pair back when M1As were cheap. LOL.

I e read that the stock is not universal, but I don't know that it is completely true. The trigger would make sense though.
