OK here goes-I inherited a 700 that I believe was bought in the early 70's. Know very little about remmy's.
Put a new scope on and decided to clean it also.
Do not know how to get they bolt out.
Also which model do I have-it has a blind mag well?
Thanks

More than likely it's an ADL. There is a small metal tab just foward of the trigger, just depress it and pull the bolt.

Thanks that tab was gummed up took alot to push it.
Called Remington they said it was made in 64 same year my wife was born and it was her dad's gun-pretty cool!
Has a 20 inch barrel that appears to be factory-they have no record of that. He was not a gun guy so I believe it's original with probably less than 2 boxes shot thrue it.

Not really a problem, just keep finger out of trigger guard when unloading, fairly simple.

More importantly make sure you have it pointed in a harmless direction, lot of trucks, barns, and even people been shot by them.
