Modern upper installed on a 1976 colt sp1

For all you AR guru's, I am looking at purchasing a RRA predator pursuit upper and installing it on my old school Colt SP1 lower, anything that I should know? Will it fit correctly? Thanks in advance for any info.

I'm not positive but the takedown and pivot pin may be different size in the old colts, may want to check that.

The older Colts, and some of the newer ones, have larger pivot pins and installing an upper with smaller holes will present a problem..

There are adapter pin sets that will solve your problem, but it may take some serious searching to find them since most of the newer ones are all standard size pins...

DPMS makes the adapters; Brownells, Midway, etc. carry them.
