Montana Coyote prices? Unskined?

nope.

There are a lot of variables that influence the price. The Prime full white belley ones taht are select grade are expected to get 75-100 but that is an estimate and also the best of the best. It only goes down fast from there. (this is for put up furs)

I can tell you that if it's been shot reciently, it's not prime, and since it's green it will be almost half of what it could be.

Sounds like a good specimen for skinning and fleshing. Easier to store and sell.

I have a few really good taxidermists that will pay $35 for an unskinned December/January coyote. After that NO interest.

Just got $30.00 for a semiblonde unskinned. That coyote in Mid-November would be an easy $45.00. Buyer did say that coyotes are the only fur that will be the bright spot again this year. Muskrats might pick up later. Thanks for your replies. Rudy

i can tell you there are places where they do not have blue/green bellies right now.

Buyers in Montana have always bought coyotes and fox during the big game season. It starts this weekend. We also have had many nights down in the low 20's since mid September. Predators won't be fully prime for another 2-3 weeks. I was happy to sell a hide instead of shooting and letting it lay. Calling season is just around the corner. This is just the preseason.

Mid Oct coyotes will typically bring about 50-70% of late Nov/Dec yotes.

Unskinned coyotes will typically bring 35-40% of put up coyotes.

Coyotes with damages go down from there.

ive shot yotes literally all over MT. Not all MT coyotes are created equal or even close. Montana has a WIDE range in coyote quality. They are all over the board. We have a great coyote compared to any other state but depending on where your collecting coyotes there could be a $50-60 difference in price. Generally the quality improves as you move north. Theres a huge difference between the average southern (SW to SE) tier coyote and a hi-line dog. Theres usually a fair bit of variation between individual coyotes too. All of which can have a big impact on $$$$
So asking what a MT coyote is worth is like asking whats a chevy worth?
