Do non-residents need any kind of license to hunt PDs and ground squirrels in Montana? Since I am headed up there for 6 days, I thought I better see what the law is.

According to my Montana regs Predator and non-game species can be hunted by non-residents without a license. The reg specifically lists marmots,ground squirrels,etc.. as non-game. The reg didn't specifically list P-dogs though, you might want to check on that. If hunting on State School trust lands a conservation license is needed. Since I'm not a MT resident so you might want to check a little more but thats the way the reg read to me.
