mossberg 835 ulti mag 12 gauge

Ok traded my bow off for this 12 gauge came with turkey choke and that's it. Dumb question is can I shoot skeet with no choke using 7 1/2 shot shells or should I use the turkey choke with that same shot shell I have ordered a modified choke no where around has one in stock but there is a fundraising skeet shoot tomorrow for a friend that I would really like to shoot at. Any info would be great thanks
 
I would want something to cover those internal threads personally. I bought my modified choke at Walmart of all places. I would run it with the turkey choke before I trashed the threads without anything there to protect them. Just count to 4 before you shoot, the stock choke is pretty full

Joe Bobs Outfitters has carlson's chokes for 835/935. I happened to call mossberg and was getting some replacement spings for mine and asked them about some 935 chokes, they sent me a set of them for nothing! I didn't ask or complain about the gun just ordering some springs they didn't even charge me for the springs.
Also told me if I wanted to send my 935 in they would re-dip it in camo since there was some wear on it.
 
Yeah, it's been a while though. I wanted a modified for the same reason and to shoot doves with. It isn't the long exposed choke like the stock XX-full turkey, but it fits fine. It finishes flush with the muzzle and removes with a coin slot.

I emailed Mossberg about my rear sight falling off m 835 many years after I bought it. They asked for a mailing address and sent me a new set of better, adjustable fiber optic sights free. Pretty good service.
