Mossberg MVP Predator any good?

Anyone have a Mossberg MVP varmit with the 24" barrel? I've about given up on finding an AR for under $1500. I found a brand new at a gun shop for in 5.56 for $539.99. I like the fact that they're chambered for 5.56 not 223 and they accept AR mags. They have good reviews but I'm weary about the mossberg brand.

1 - Dear sweet-baby-jesus, again??!! Well good for you, do it.
2 - So the reviews(magazine I assume?) are good, but unless a review in a forum is good, you don't get one??!!

You won't find tons of personal reviews, as they have been PAINFULLYY!!!! slow with production. The 4X4 action(which it's based off) is a very strong action.

Well like you said I havn't found many personal reviews so i figured I would ask here. Magazine reviews of new guns usually don't give any reliability insight. It is between this and a maybe a thompson center venture predator

I got a custom upper that will be here this week, brand new lower with collapsible stock, 15 pmags and 600 rounds of Hornady 52 gr. Ammo I thought bout selling.

I have had mine for about 3 months and really enjoy it very accurate not to heavy for a walk around rifle shoots the 69 grain nosler custom comp with vargat in little tiny groups and has a very nice trigger when adjusted down that's the pros!

Cons it feeds the metal mags very well and reliable but for some reason it does not like pmags if loaded over 25 it has a heck of a time stripping of the first round infancy to the point I bent the small piece at the bottom of the bolt that strips the round from the mag had to have it straitened back out also the mag well of the gun is very tight you really have to slap the bottom to get the mag to seat and physically have to put little effort in to removing it. Over all happy with the rifle and the accuracy just my 2 cents!

I have one of these rifles in 18.5 inch barrel and love it. .6 and .7 inch groups at 125 yds.

Everything on the rifle is like it should be. It likes the metal magazines and light bullets.

I run 55 grn hornady a max through mine.

The rifle is a fine shooting weapon, bolt is a little rough, but should change with time.

I give it 4.5 stars out of 5.
