Mounting a bipod

I bought a Smith & Wesson mp15or (optics ready) back in November before the craziness happen. What is the cheapest way I could mount a bipod or a grip pod on my m&p? I'm not into the tactical stuff; I don't want a laser and lights, so a quad rail is not a option. All I have added is a S.S.A.L.T scope base, redfeild revolution 3x9 and butler creep caps.

If I owned it I would pull that handguard and put a free float handguard on it. If you want inexpensive and simple then get a Hogue. Once on there you can mount a sling stud pretty easily and inexpensively (and use a Harris or similar bipod attached to the sling stud).

Why do you want a bipod anyway? If for hunting predators most guys use shooting sticks of some kind. You would have a faster solution with no rifle mods that way.

Just buy a swivel stud and get two washers take off the bottom hand guard and put the swivel stud though one of the holes in the hand guard with a washer on both sides sandwiching the handguard's plastic. With the swivel on the bottom and a nut in top it will be suprisingly sturdy. I did this on my first two AR's and it works great.
