Come on guys, the original poster asked a serious question. One guy gave his opinion as to what he uses on his Rifle and another guy attacked his choice.
Well guys we all live in America (at least I think so) and the last time I checked America was still a free country. This peeing contest you guys have entered into has done nothing to help out the original poster.
On a different note I am considering purchasing my first AR Rifle and Scope Mounts is one of the considerations. A buddy has a Armalite M-15A4 with the Armalite Scope Mount that comes with the Rifle. When I shoulder this Armalite the Scope is EXACTLY the right height above the comb of the stock. With this mount his Rifle FITS me perfectly.
Now the Armalite One Piece Scope Mount is a little spendy for my tastes, but I have yet to come up with another mount that will position the scope in exactly this same position above the comb of the stock. Some advertise theirs as putting the scope at the same height as the open sights on an A2 (what ever that dimension is). I have looked at Riser Bases and Standard Rings etc. and for someone that knows nothing about AR's this is indeed confusing.
Can we get back on track and provide some help for the original poster.
