mueller scopes

I looked through one at Gander Mountain tonight. Good, Bad, or you get what you pay for? It was very clear, etched reticle, and was quite heavy, which is good in the optic arena. Anyone know what the warranty is on them, are they repeatable click wise? for $249, looked like a bargin. Where are they made? Just wondering. I'm a Leupold fan, but Leupold's are really climbing. Soon it will be cheaper to buy a Kahles, Swarovski, Zeiss....Butcher

I bought an eraticator for my hmr a year ago and i love it. its a pretty clear scope and for the $ its great. So, for my new sav. 223 I bought a 3-9x40 mueller , put it on right away and began to sight it in to no avail. would'nt hold zero. I called Mueller on the phone, and the gent told me to send it back, and waived the $12 shipping fee to return a new one to my house.when I recieved the shipment 5 days later and opened the box , low and behold,he sent me a 3-10x44 w/ two extra batterys for the lighted dot. Thats good service, I was quite pleased .

I think and a lot of people on Rimfire Central think that the Mueller scopes are on of the best bangs for the buck available. They carry a lifetime warranty and in the few instances that I have heard about having a problem they are excellent as stated above. When you deal with them you are dealing right with the owner and he is very personable. Go to RimfireCentral.com in the Scope forum and you will see he works with the user on developements of his scopes.

I have an 8-25 Eraticator, and I used it extensively this past season busting pdogs with my .22-250. I'm happy with it. And while I'm not ready to trade in my Leupolds' and Burris' just yet, I can foresee another Mueller or 2 in my future.

Look for a field test and review of the Eraticator coming soon in our upcoming DVD, and at our website, www.dogbegone.com

Oh, and Rich (the boss) is a very nice guy to deal with, and completely hands on.

I have the Mueller Tactical 4-16x50mm with the IGR/AO on a 22-250..It is clear and works great..don't think it can be beat for the money..I ordered it factory direct and the guy on the phone was super helpful. He told me then."any problems just give us a call back and we will take care of you"

My father has an Eradicator on top of his Ruger target rifle in .308. Holds an excellent zero and has a very clear image. I will be getting a 3-11 x 44 for my calling rifle this summer. I have heard very few negative things about Muellers.

Out of all the bad things that I have heard from users, they have all said that they have returned them to the factory only to be replaced with excellent working scopes and with a very short return time.

I have the 8-24 Eraticator on my Savage .204 Ruger and am very happy with it. For $150 it has better than average features and the only question I had was a little distortion around the edges when scanning across trees. I wrote Mueller and they said it was due to not installing an internal ring to block this out as it is present on all scopes, but some manufactures install the ring and some do not. It doesn't affect the quality of 98% of the viewing area and for prairie dogs, won't matter.

Maybe I'm completely missing the point, but so far from what I'm getting from these posts, Mueller has an excellent service department.

I find that somewhat "faint praise".

Linefinder,
That is also Leupolds main claim to fame. According to the benchrest people the 8-900$ Leupold BR scopes take 2-4 trips through repair to get right.

Sorry, but for $900 for a fixed power scope, they should have made sure it was right before they shipped it.

Jack

P.S. Not sure what the parent company is that owns Leupold but I recommend not investing money in it's stock. Might not be a bad idea to sell it short though?

I bought a 4-16 50mm tactical..nice scope.. Had it go way out of whack once so far.. the guy said send it back if there's a problem. I was out shooting it again today and so far so good.. hope it doesn't cost me anymore coyotes so we'll see. It's not bad as far as bang for the buck. I'll see how it does over the course of a year and if it's still good I'll keep it.. if it goes out of whack once more it's history.

Have a 4-16 50mm eraticator and I absolutely love the illuminated reticle for night hunting or low light conditions. I initally had this unit on a 300 wthby mag rifle and it took a lot of pounding with no ill effects. Decided to put it on my bushy varminter this year and it has continued to do a great job.

I have Mueller scopes on all my guns. i have found that i can get good quality for the price. i shoot 22 bench rest along with my son amd we will not shoot a nother scope.

Hmmmmmmm..... Hardly an unsatisfied customer. Might have to look into getting one of these Mullers myself. I've tried many, many scopes. I do like an illuminated reticule when coyote hunting, bear hunting and deer hunting. Not much of a Leupold fan at all. I prefer Burris electro dot scopes. Anybody out there have both a Muller and a Burris? How do they compare? kyray
