This is a "Float" it goes in the water. So unless your cats like swimming I don't think it would work.

I may take the backing board off, and cut it like a ramp on the other side. then I many add another coni stablizeing bar, and put 2 coni's with the bait in the middle.
Also if i paint it brown, its got to sit till next season, so i think the smell will wear off.
Now you're thinking, and good advice from the fellas .
I love floats as are water levels flucuate alot and floats work regardless. Give some floating colony traps a try,too.
